"Bahubali" refers to two blockbuster Indian epic action films directed by S.S. Rajamouli, consisting of "Baahubali: The Beginning" (2015) and "Baahubali 2: The Conclusion" (2017). These films are among the highest-grossing Indian films ever and are celebrated for their elaborate storytelling, stunning visuals, and impressive action sequences. Here's a brief overview of the story combining elements from both parts:

"Baahubali: The Beginning" introduces us to the mythical kingdom of Mahishmati. The story begins with a woman named Sivagami, desperately fleeing to save a baby from the clutches of her pursuers. She sacrifices herself to ensure the baby's survival. This child, named Shivudu, grows up with superhuman strength in a tribal village, unaware of his royal lineage. He is naturally drawn to explore the mountains and beyond, leading him to discover his true identity. Shivudu is, in fact, Mahendra Baahubali, the son of Amarendra Baahubali.

Amarendra Baahubali was a revered king and a noble warrior of Mahishmati, who was betrayed and killed by his conniving brother, Bhallaladeva, and the latter's father, Bijjaladeva. Amarendra's wife, Devasena, is held captive by Bhallaladeva. The film ends with a cliffhanger, setting the stage for the revelation of how exactly Amarendra met his fate and what led to Shivudu/Mahendra's birth and survival.

"Baahubali 2: The Conclusion" delves into the backstory of Amarendra Baahubali's reign and his untimely death. It is revealed that Amarendra, despite being the rightful heir, was not made the king due to the plotting of Bhallaladeva and his father. Instead, he was sent on a tour of the kingdom, where he falls in love with Devasena. This love story sets off a chain of events, leading to Amarendra's clash with Bhallaladeva.

Amarendra Baahubali's loyalty to his kingdom, his sense of justice, and his tragic end at the hands of his own brother create a compelling tale of heroism, love, and betrayal. The film climaxes with Mahendra Baahubali (Shivudu), learning about his heritage, rallying the people to defeat Bhallaladeva, and rightfully reclaiming the throne of Mahishmati.

The "Baahubali" series is not just a story about the battle for a throne; it is a saga of good versus evil, love, sacrifice, and the quest for justice. With its breathtaking visuals, intricate set designs, and epic battle scenes, the "Baahubali" series has left a lasting impact on Indian cinema and its storytelling capabilities.
